Mission/Lineage: This Mindfulness Meditation Retreat is based on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) principles developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli at the Center for Mindfulness in the University of Massachusetts Medical School. As such, it relies on emerging modern scientific understanding and also has roots in the ancient teachings of the Buddha and of Hatha Yoga.

Training/Lineage: Éowyn Ahlstrom is a teacher at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University. She has years of experience leading programs in mindfulness and yoga. Éowyn is a Certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher, holds the highest registry mark obtainable for yoga teachers from the Yoga Alliance, and received her master's degree from the American College of Education where she studied health and wellness. For the past ten years, Éowyn has often taught yoga for retreats at the Insight Meditation Society. She has been practicing mindfulness meditation and yoga intensively herself for over two decades.
